So here it is, if you were paying attention to Ken Levine’s tweets yesterday, you would have probably second guessed it. The first Bioshock: Infinite DLC will be available today on Steam. It is called “Clash in the Clouds” and will cost you $5, and is also included in the Season Pass.

Clash in the Clouds is a narrative-free combat-oriented DLC, and will feature a series of challenges aimed at exemplifying the combat mechanics of Bioshock: Infinite, which many critics overlooked. You continue to play as Booker Dewitt and will have Elizabeth by your side. A trailer detailing everything has been launched alongside.

The DLC consists of four maps, namely The OPS Zeal, Duke and Dimwit Theater, Raven’s Zone and Emporia Arcade. Each map contains 15 encounters/waves of enemies. The waves get more intense and difficult progressively and the enemies grow in number. The DLC will require the player to use a good variety of offensive tactics i.e. an even mixture of weapons, vigor, etc.

Clash in the Clouds puts focus on leaderboards. If one manages to complete all 60 challenges without dying, s/he will be placed in a glorious leaderboard for all to see.

All things sorted, the most exciting news is not about Clash though. It’s about the already announced next DLC of Bioshock: Infinite, called Burial At Sea. What makes Burial so friggin special, is that it will be based in Rupture; the underwater city that was the playfield in the iconic Bioshock. Now that is effin exciting. I’m a huge fan of the original Bioshock.

“We are building a Rapture-based narrative experience that is almost entirely built from scratch” says Ken Levine about the next DLC. A teaser trailer for Burial has been released.
