No, it isn’t a contest on the website, but actually a game’s name. Diwali ka Dhamaka is a casual puzzle game where you have to match at least three same articles — either bombs, diyas, crackers, or charhkharis — in horizontal or vertical, no diagonal, manner. The gameplay is pretty straight forward, and nothing new.

You are  given a minute to crack as many matches as you can, and you can pause the game if you need. It’s pretty much like the popular Candy Crush, but with Diwali-related things replacing all the candies. Milestone hasn’t given any rounds in this game, and you can only opt to play a single round. Time over, and you get to start again. They could add a few more levels in the game, and add a few twists and increase the difficulty level with them.

As far as graphics are concerned, there’s not much to tell, plus, you won’t expect a match-3 game to excel in this area. The whole puzzle box, crackers and background seem quite nice and appropriate for the theme selected.

Sounds, especially the cracking ones, are pretty good, and give a nice feel to the whole sparkling scene on your screen. It’s but obvious that you are not going to have huge tracks or symphonies in such a casual game.
