Tripwire Interactive in association with Antimatter, announced its sequel to the award winning FPS Rising Storm, Rising Storm 2: Vietnam.

The standalone expansion to Red Orchestra 2, will be based on the Vietnam war, while the original had World War 2 as its backdrop. The series known for its brutal but tactical gameplay and realistic guns and environment, definitely looks to continue its excellent run with this game.

Quoting Tripwire Interactive President, John Gibson “We’re bringing our gritty and realistic military shooter gameplay forward to a time when assault rifles ruled the ground, choppers ruled the skies, and every tunnel could hide an ambush, The iconic setting of Vietnam opens up so many opportunities for exciting asymmetrical gameplay.”

The teaser, accompanied with a well placed Credence Clearwater Revival: Run Through The Jungle soundtrack, looks promising. The teaser shows both U.S and Vietnam troops pitted against each other on a grassy field, this time with some heavy aerial warfare in the form of helicopters by the Americans.

There is no official date of launch as of now, but do check out the trailer.
