I loved Far Cry 3. It had some of the best worlds coupled with tight FPS gameplay and psychotic characters. Then came Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, which bought back all that was so cool about the 80s. A successor sounds tempting, deserved really, so you can call it ‘good news’ when something about…….wait for it…..FAR CRY 4; emerges from the surface.

Ubisoft hasn’t officially announced anything about Far Cry 4, yet, but there are some very definitive hints that lead us to the conclusion that yes, it pretty much exists and is in the works. Xavier Plagnal, a Ubisoft Shanghai designer’s resume on LinkedIn reveals that he worked as Content Director on “the next Far Cry” from September 2013 to the present.

This isn’t the only sign of FC4’s existence. In October, Drive composer Cliff Martinez let slip in an interview that he was “working on a video game called Far Cry 4.” Also, Ubisoft Senior VP of Marketing Sales Tony Key stated that Far Cry is “a great brand and now it’s got the recognition it deserves, so we’re clearly going to make another one.”

Good news, agree?
