The 4th Asus Tech Enthusiasts Meet took place on September 27, 2014 at Asus India’s office in Mumbai. Our editor was invited to this meet and we are grateful to Asus for that.

The meet was attended by hardware enthusiasts who were more interested in the technology being shown rather than the lunch menu, a welcome change from launch events. The day’s events included presentations from Asus on some of its new products like the X99 chipset based motherboards with their unique OC socket that has extra pins. Also shown were new routers, monitors,
GPUs and some tiny PCs like a RoG box, the Vivo box and the Chromebox. Asus staff were quite eager to listen to feedback from the attendees about their products and it is this sort of passion that sets Asus products apart from the rest. Also keenly stressed was the official pronunciation of Ay-soos and the philosophy behind their current “In search of Incredible” tagline.

Later in the day we were given a hands on session with the new Asus products from the prior presentations. This was followed by a demonstration of overclocking using liquid Nitrogen. All in all it was a proper meeting of geeks and a learning experience. Pictures follow.
