Rolocule GamesPune-based studio Rolocule Games has been nominated for its Rolomotion motion-control gaming technology for the Edison Award in the Electronic & Computers Entertainment category, MCV India reports.

Rolomotion is a technology that enables motion-controlled gaming on iOS through Apple TV and iPhone/iPod Touch. Motion Tennis was first game to use this technology, and was massively successful, being featured on the iOS App Store. Anuj Tandon, co-founder of Rolocule spoke about this technology at the NASSCOM GDC 2013. Rolocule is currently working in bringing the technology to Android.

“It’s a great feeling whenever you are recognised for your hard work, but this is really special as it honours the innovation DNA that we have built in Rolocule. We are proud to be nominated along with such big names in their respective industries. All of it is possible because of the hard work of our team.” says Anuj Tandon on being nominated.

The Edison Award recognises and awards innovation products, services and business leaders. Past recipients of the award have been companies such as Apple, Coca Cola, Nike and Microsoft.

Rolocule’s second unannounced Rolomotion game is due for release on the iOS this April.
