Microsoft recently announced its first wave of Xbox Live games releasing for Windows 8. The list comprises of mainly Microsoft games along with some blockbusters like Angry Birds etc.

As announced earlier, Windows 8 will come equipped with the Xbox 360 platform, making it easier for gamers to access games irrespective of which Windows 8 enabled device they have.

This is just the first launch and Microsoft will keep on rolling out new titles throughout the holiday season.

Microsoft also noted that the games will be located in the pre-installed Windows 8 Xbox Games app. Gamers will also have access to multiple Xbox features such as leader boards, multiplayer modes and connecting with friends.

Although it is still not clear whether the new titles being launched by Microsoft, 29 of them, will be available to other platforms as well or they’ll be exclusive to Windows 8 only.

The titles don’t really look like the game changers, but it is a positive start from Microsoft.
