battleboxPC gaming rocks. It offers a level of versatility and customisability that consoles don’t even come close to, not to mention the VAST library of games. PC games also look much better, and perform much better than their console counterparts.

However, building a PC from scratch might put some gamers off. To solve this, Nvidia and a bunch of partners have launched the Battlebox gaming rigs, a bunch of pre-built gaming rigs ranging from Rs. 44,950 to Rs. 1,69,450.

All these rigs come fitted with Nvidia’s GeForce GPUs, obviously. The Battlebox series starts with the TYPHOON JUNIOR, which costs Rs. 44,950 and is equipped with Intel Core i5-4440 and a GeForce GTX 750 GPU. This model belongs to the entry-level range, and can play most recent games at Medium settings.

The ‘sweet spot’ is the ENIGMA, which features an Intel Core i5-4570 and a GTX 760. The GTX 760 is Nvidia’s mainstream offering, and will be able to play all games at 1080p. This model costs Rs. 62, 450.

If you’re looking for something with more juice, the TITAN JUNIOR and TITAN SENIOR feature Core i7 processors a GTX 780 and GTX 780 Ti GPU respectively. Both the TITANs come with a Nepton 280L Liquid Cooler. The TITAN SENIOR also features a BluRay and SSD drive.

Here are all the details of the Battlebox lineup:

  1. PC gaming rocks but what makes consoles great are the exclusives, such as inFAMOUS and Gran Turismo on the PlayStation consoles or HALO and Forza Motorsport on the XBox consoles. PC gamers miss out on these amazing AAA titles, even though they may benefit from better graphics and (possibly) performance. And it’s not like every PC gamer has these advantages; only those with high-end gaming rigs are able to get the most out of today’s games. For the majority who play on average laptops/desktops, I don’t think the games of today perform as well as they do on the PS3 or XBox 360 or their next-gen counterparts.

    • @Srikant you are right but Pc also has it’s own exclusives, The new Unreal Tournament will be free for pc and it may or may not come to consoles, their are small indie titles only for PC but the treat Xbox and Playstation offers is on a whole new world.
