Sony announced during the PlayStation 4 reveal that the next-gen console will launch across India on the 6th of January.
Game4u, India’s biggest video games and console retailer is organizing midnight launch events for the PS4 across the country. The launch events will commence simultaneously across all locations on January 5th, 2014 at 11:55 pm.
Game4u outlets in various malls will host these launch events. Here are the confirmed locations:
- Mega Mall (Oshiwara, Mumbai)
- Infiniti Mall (Malad, Mumbai)
- Linking Road (Bandra, Mumbai)
- MGF Metropolis Mall (Gurgaon, Delhi-NCR)
- MBD Neopolis Mall (Ludhiana)
- Elante Mall (Chandigarh)
If you’re looking to get a PS4, your best bet is to get them at the midnight launch. Flipkart is already overbooked on their pre-orders, and the first batch of stocks received in India are terribly low.
The PlayStation 4 will be available for Rs. 39,990 and will come packaged with only a single DualShock 4 controller. A separate controller and the PlayStation Camera cost Rs. 5,000 each.
