Slightly Mad Studios’ upcoming racing sim, Project Cars released a bunch of new technical information about the game. Including Specifications and hardware support FAQ’s on the official website. Project Cars is slated to launch mid-May this year, on PC, SteamOS, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Wii U.

Technical Details
- Project Cars has support for up to 12K resolution on PC (if your PC can handle it)
- The resolutions and frame-rate for consoles will be: 1080p, 60 frames per second on PlayStation 4, 900p, 60 frames per second on Xbox One. The PS4 takes lead of the Xbox One, once again.
- No information on the Wii U performance yet, but it is said to be released in an upcoming featured article.
- There will no split screen mode in Project CARS. Developers claim that it is so in order to achieve the target of 60 frames per second.
- Project CARS runs on Slightly Mad Studios’ proprietary MADNESS game engine that was built specifically for next-generation platforms and is scalable to a wide variety of modern PC specifications.
- DirectX 12 support has not been confirmed but the developers are looking into this.
- The game uses Xbox One’s impulse triggers for feeling the rumble strips underneath the wheels.
- The PS4’s DualShock 4 controller will have Ben Collins, former Top Gear Stig, talking directly to you through the integrated speaker.
