Trying to battle is tarnished image, EA has launched a new scheme, where it offers timed refunds on EA published games bought from its digital distribution portal Origin.
The scheme is called ‘The Origin Great Game Guarantee’, and will offer a full refund to PC and Mac customers dissatisfied with the EA game within the following timeframe:
- Within 24 hours of launching the game first time on Origin
- Withing seven days from purchase of the game
- Withing the first seven days after the game’s release date if pre-ordered, whichever comes first.
You can visit the official Great Game Guarantee page for more details. In order to claim a refund, just visit your Origin order history and click the “request a refund” link next to the respective game, answer a few feedback questions and you’re good to go.
The refund program is effective starting today in 20 countries, and will be rolled out worldwide over the next few weeks.
The Great Game Guarantee comes as an initiative by EA just after rolling out their amazing humble bundle deal. and it is clearly evident that EA are devoted to improving the image they’ve managed to form about themselves over the recent months. Two months back they announced massive price increase in India, which gained a lot of negative publicity. Also, recent purchases of EA games from Flipkart coming with tampered CD keys was also a big blow to the company. Its good to see EA making the mends, as whatever might be the case, EA has made gamers witness great gaming moments.
To the future!
