We all have a hardcore gamer inside us. Be it board games like Scrabble that challenge us intellectually, mobile games like Candy Crush we’re addicted to or racing games like Asphalt 8 that make us feel like Lewis Hamilton, we all spend some part of the day or week gaming.
It’s a lot more time for those people who play on the Xbox. PlayStation or PC, and can have gaming marathons stretched over the entire weekend. Who can blame them when games these days have become addictive from the word go?
If you own an Xbox One then you must have these games to keep you busy for hours on end:
Grand Theft Auto V
A biography is already being filmed on the maker of this game with impressive names like Daniel Radcliffe in the cast, this is one game that will set your heart racing. It’s really polished up to play on Xbox one with neat and crisp visuals, loads and loads of new content and with online heists making it even more addictive. With beautifully created visuals of Los Angeles and California go on a trip anywhere you fancy in HD and steal a plane if you want or maybe eject from it mid-way. This game is as crazy as you so play it your way!

Dark Souls II
As the name suggests this game is not for the weak hearted. This is a role playing game set in a fantasy world of Drangleic- a land under the rule of King Vendrick which is now full of ruins due to wars between humans and giants and is now plagued by the blasphemy of the undead. If you have a thrill for mystery, fiction and adventure then this game will surely take you to newer enemy locations and expansions to keep you busy for hours. Check out our Dark Souls II review.
Sunset Overdrive
Set up against an intricate background in the city of Sunset Overdrive which is filled by a bunch of energy drinks by FrizzCo which turns people to mutants leading anti-social troupes really could get anyone’s imagination flying high. In comes the hero through a jungle of violence and confusion and can run walls, grind rails and even can quickly navigate through the City with a huge amount of weapons to use to bring order and chaos.
It’s surely a game that will get you scratching your brains to figure out the mess in this city and bring some order!
Wolfenstein: The New Order
This game is for the crazy gamers in you who always wanted to be secret service agents, carrying a gun and shooting with no remorse. The game is in the perspective of the first person letting you navigate on foot. Proceed through the game after finishing chapters and plots and characters will change and vary throughout the game surprising you at every single step. The game is open ended making it interesting to explore around and lets you travel back to a dramatic back drop of being on a very important mission letting you pick gun fights and blowing up places with explosions. We reviewed Wolfenstein: The New Order during its launch time, check it out.
Ori and the Blind Forest
This game might look cudly and sweet but that is just an illusion. The real game is a lot more difficult demanding time and attention. It’s a platform adventure game where you get to control a white guardian spirit named Ori. It can shoot and spit flames which is pretty amazing and can interact well with surroundings. It is constantly faced by enemies and he must take up the duty to restore the forest. Collect energy shards along with health shards and upgrades and to save the game at checkpoints you can create soul links.
This is surely a game which will keep you thinking and obsessing for hours at an end.
Who says games are only a wastage of time? Indulge in games that challenge you at every step forcing you to take unconventional routes and put on your thinking caps. Games can be educational and engaging as well and with such games on the grid, it’s hard to see how one can resist it!
