Rockstar Games announced that their highly anticipated release Grand Theft Auto V which was earlier scheduled for a May release has been delayed by 4 months to September 17.
Explaining the reason behind the delay, Rockstar said the extra time will allow the company to polish the game further.
According to the Rockstar statement, “We know this is about four months later than originally planned and we know that this short delay will come as a disappointment to many of you, but, trust us, it will be worth the extra time”
“GTAV is a massively ambitious and complex game and it simply needs a little more polish to be of the standard we and, more importantly, you require.”
There have been no mentions of either a WiiU or PC version yet from Rockstar. In the hours following the news of the delay of a game as massive as GTA V , Take-Two, the parent-company of Rockstar Games’ shares fell by 6 percent.
Seems like much to the disappointment of fans worldwide, everyone will need to wait for a few more months — which can be an excruciatingly painful wait especially for a game as exciting as GTA V.
