Krrish 3 The Game – Review

Krrish 3 is a Superhero Movie. The free promo game from Gameshastra Hungama based on the movie however, is not a superhero game. It is runner with some platforming thrown in using 3 (4 if you’ve downloaded it from the Windows Store) characters from the movie designed primarily for touch devices.

The objective of the game is to compete 1v1 against other players or bots in a timed race over various obstacle courses set in locations in Mumbai. Along the way you can collect various tokens that can either give you more XP or let you purchase gadgets. The Crystals are the main currency of the game and there seem to be provisions to implement a micro-transaction system based around these. You use the gadgets to slow down your opponent in the race.

Currently the game has 6 courses set in 3 different locales in Mumbai. There is quite a bit of product placement in the game, besides the movie characters themselves. The only real difference between these characters is the animations for various actions and the character models look quite good. The super abilities they show in the movie aren’t quite on display here unless you count the platforming mechanics of double jumping and running up vertical walls.

The game is quite buggy with the vertical wall running sometimes not working despite input causing your character to stop. There’s also the issue with the wall grab run for Kaya where she seems to slip off before the end. The game’s stat tracking is also bugged showing false overtakes and not counting any takedowns by the player.
