Space fans galore! Star Trek: The Video Game is to be officially released in India by Reliance Home Video and Games. The date set for launch is April 26 in India.
Star Trek: The Video Game is a third-person cover based shooter and is developed by Digital Extremes (the makers of Homefront, The Darkness II, Warframe). The game will allow you to control the Star Trek fundamental characters, Kirk and Spock. The game will heavily rely on co-operative elements. Steve Sinclair, the Director at Digital Extremes called the game’s genre ‘bro-op’.
The plot of the game is based in the 23rd Century setting of the 2009 Star Trek film reboot, and takes place after the events of the movie. Chris Pine and Zachary Quinto, the leads of that film, are lending their voices to the game.
Star Trek: The Video Game (2013) will be released on the PC, Xbox 360 and PS3. Pricing for the Xbox 360 and PS3 version will be Rs. 2999/-. The PC pricing is yet to be confirmed but we suspect it will be Rs. 1000.
