Imagine this use case, you want a high-end cutting edge display for your gaming and multimedia desktop computer. Well, there are many options in the market that will solve that problem. The AORUS FV43U certainly being one of them. But, you don’t want to stop just there. You want to go a step ahead. Let me explain.
Imagine this scenario.
AORUS FV43U Gaming Monitor – PC Gaming and Console Gaming
You also have a latest gaming console, like the PlayStation 5 or the Xbox Series X, and want a display that can utilise the HDR10+ feature, plus run games above 60 frames per second. And one that you can enjoy while laying back at the couch, with the display sitting comfortably 4 feet away from you. And. You also don’t want to connect external speakers. The AORUS FV43U has you comfortably covered with its built-in speakers and two HDMI 2.1 ports.
Now, you want to be able to switch between your console and your computer on-the-fly, using a remote. The AORUS FV43U comes with a well-equipped remote, one from which you can control the simplest setting like changing the input, to really tinkering with the plethora of colour, sound, latency and overclocking adjustments the FV43U offers.
Don’t just stop right there yet.
You want to be able to dock your laptop’s display (upto 4K) to a larger screen for some video editing (or any other task for that matter), the built-in USB-C slot will allow just that.
You want to occasionally fast charge your mobile phone. You can use that same USB-C port that supports 5V/1.5A charging for that.
Next, you want to use the same keyboard and mouse with your laptop, that you’re using with your desktop computer. The AORUS FV43U comes with the KVM feature that allows you to control multiple devices via one set of keyboard, video and mouse. So no more disconnecting and reconnecting your keyboard, mouse and controller between devices.
OK, one last one I promise.
You have a smart TV module like the Google TV Stick or the Amazon Firestick, or even Apple TV and don’t want a separate screen for that. The AORUS FV43U is the display that can simultaneously be connected to your TV module. Hey, you can also use picture-in-picture mode to view two inputs at once. Pretty cool right?
This is what the AORUS FV43U monitor is capable of. If a Swiss Knife had a monitor version, it would be the FV43U. The latter actually being more stylish and elegant than the former. The FV43U goes a step ahead by not just allowing you to do all the things I mentioned above, it makes you able to do all the things in style, unlike a Swiss Knife, whose thorough usability gets compromised by making it look utterly non-elegant.
The FV43U has all the features you would ask from a premium monitor. A lush 43-inch display with an UltraHD 4K resolution, a whopping brightness that goes up to a 1000 nits, deep blacks, HDR1000, 10-bit colours with 97% DCI-P support, surround speakers, low latency (that can be further overclocked), AMD FreeSync, multi-zone dimming, desk stand plus VESA mounting support; the list goes on and on. Have you heard of any display that gives you these many features? For starters, I haven’t.
AORUS FV43U Pro-Gaming Tactical Features
In a nutshell, this is what the AORUS FV43U is all about. And I haven’t even mentioned the pro-gaming “tactical” features yet to up your competitive game. That requires a separate blog in itself, but here’s the summary.
Black Equalizer deepens the details of the dark part of the scene without affecting other areas on the display. The feature allows for better focus in shooter games like PUBG, Call of Duty or Apex Legends.
Aim Stabilizer Sync is able to sync the motion blur with the V-Sync, greatly improving aim in shooter games.
The PIP/PBP function allows you to view different video sources presented in one screen at the same time. This comes especially handy when looking at guides while playing a game, or conducting a productivity task.
For you PC builders and overclockers, the FV43U offers a built-in Dashboard where you can monitor critical information about your system, like CPU and GPU clocks and temperatures, fan speeds, memory usage and FPS.
No more grinding in Call of Duty: Warzone to unlock your desired crosshair. The AORUS FV43U has a nifty set of in-built crosshairs, which you assign to specific games and swap on-the-fly using hot keys.
There’s also a Timer and Counter feature that you can use for doing things like keeping track of elapsed game time, or counting your opponent’s use of props.
The Gigabyte AORUS FV43U can be obtained for a friendly price that can go to as low as ₹80,000. That is a good price for a 4K 144Hz HDR support monitor for sure. For a monitor that offers the versatility and usability of the FV43U, the price is an absolute steal! You just can’t go wrong there, no matter how you look at this display. Ditching your PC? Use the monitor as a TV. Console outdated and getting a new PC? The AORUS FV43U will fit in well there too. I don’t see any situation where this monitor won’t come in use. It fits into almost all scenarios that I can think, leaving apart the “portability” factor if you’re the kind of person who likes to carry your monitor around. There is only one sore miss I can point out so far, which is support for Nvidia’s G-SYNC, or lack there-of. Synced frames for Nvidia graphic card users gets left out by Gigabyte. One can only wonder why..
