All of us gamers have a specific gaming routine, which is very distinct from our personalities, lifestyles, work, careers, and millions of other factors. I wanted to share the way I game, and would like to know how other gamers keep up with this industry too.
My gaming culture is something like this:
I have 3 games MAX at one point a time installed on my computer.
- One of them is always a sports game, where I’ll be playing the Dynasty League (NBA) or the Master League (Pro Evolution Soccer), or Career Mode (FIFA). With this category, I usually spend about 30 to 40 minutes a day, lasting a season.
- The second game is an RPG I’m steady with. Most of my second games are epic RPGs that require over 100 hours of gameplay. Time spent with games in this category varies from 30 minutes/day to 4-5 hours/day.
- My third game is usually the “Download Only” type of game, like, say, Escape From Monkey Island. My third game might also be a strategy game. I was a huge strategy fan during my adolescence, and although there have been big releases like Civilization VI and Starcraft II right now, I really don’t feel they have raised much of a bar in the strategy gaming genre. I have played most of the big strategy titles, and I will make it a point to try out Starcraft II.
So yeah, this is my gaming “culture” and this has been my gaming routine since I can remember (probably when I was 12 years old, when I got a new computer, ONLY FOR GAMING!).
It is really a massive challenge to keep up with all the games, especially with my busy routine, and one has to manage work, family commitments, and with it, gaming altogether, I’ve already fallen a little behind, but I have made up my mind when it comes to gaming. I have been gaming seriously for about 15 years, and video games will always be a part of my life, and I will always make my best attempts to give gaming some time in my life.
Did you know that the video gaming industry is bigger than the music and movie industries put together?
