EA’s big E3 conference was scheduled to follow Microsoft’s and curiously there wasn’t much overlap. It seems EA kept it cards close to its chest when teasing a slew of sequels to its established franchises. There were few new IPs on display and EA probably got the award for the most boring conference at E3 2014.

1. Future of Bioware Studios

Today Bioware talked about the next instalment in theMass Effect franchise, which promises to take the you to “a whole new region of space”. Besides Mass Effect, Bioware also talked about their new IP. No concrete details about any of the games were made available, but it seems like the next Mass Effect will take place in a whole new environment. 2.Star Wars: Battlefront

EA today published a new video teasing ‘Star Wars: Battlefront’. The trailer feels like a filler for the E3 conference because they barely had any information about the game. But from the minimum info provided you can take an educated guess that DICE is trying hard to stay true to the roots of the franchise (And that means the original trilogy, not the cash grab that was the new trilogy). During the video, DICE employees talk about the game’s potential and share their experiences on making a game for fans. The game will be releasing sometime in 2015.

5.Dragon Age: Inquisition

With ‘Dragon Age: Inquisition’ looking as gorgeous as it does, the team at Bioware seem to want to show fans that they have learnt from the sorry mess that was Dragon Age II and want to make up for it.

7.FIFA 15

This year’s FIFA will not be running on a brand new engine unless you are on PC, but a few new elements have been added to the game like shirt-pulling, an even more refined ball physics system, mobile corner flags and a properly realised match-day presentation that makes each stadium feel a bit more distinct. EA says “all of this adds up to a FIFA experience where you’ll feel the emotion, athleticism and intensity of football”.
