AMD recently released the latest AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1.

AMD Noise Suppression

AMD’s bought a bunch of interesting additions to this version, the most significant one being “AMD Noise Suppression.” This is a completely new feature in the AMD software, being seen for the first time. This feature uses real-time deep learning algorithms to identify the various noises present in your environment. Based on their decibel levels, its algorithm suppresses that noise to give you a better sound experience.

This technology works for both input and output, meaning it can reduce noise during voice chats, Zoom calls etc. It works across various apps and games. Here is a video about AMD’s Noise Suppression technology.

Activating AMD Noise Suppression

Here is an official video by AMD that will show you how to activate this feature.

Compatibility of AMD Noise Suppression

  • Works on AMD Ryzen 6000 Series processors with integrated graphics
  • Works on AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series desktop graphics and newer
  • Requires AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 22.7.1 and newer
  • AMD Noise Suppression may not install on systems equipped with Realtek ACP-based ANR

Other Improvement bought by AMD Software: Adrenaline Edition

The 22.7.1 edition of the software brings in other improvements apart from the addition of AMD Noise Suppression. This software significantly increases the performance of Minecraft by a whopping 85% (claimed by AMD), along with improvements in other OpenGL games.

AMD has also expanded the support for Radeon Super Resolution (RSR) for Radeon RX 5000 and RX 6000 series of GPUs on AMD Ryzen notebooks with hybrid graphics, and now works for borderless fullscreen games in a more seamless experience.
