Frame Time Latency
Conclusion
FRAME TIME LATENCY
Calculating the Frame Time Latency gives us a deeper insight into what the FPS numbers mean. A high average FPS doesn’t really quantify to a smoother gameplay experience. If you don’t know what Frame Time Latency means and how it is calculated, I am here to explain to you this concept .When a frame is rendered it takes a certain amount of time to do so. This time is measured as the latency, from 0, to render and display the frame. Well basically it means the lower Frame Time Latency(FTL) a graphics card has the better smoothness it offers. High Latency means distortion in the delivery of the frames, thus causing a stutter.
Games Tested with Frame Time Latency:-
1.Battlefield 3
2.Crysis 3
3.SKYRIM
4.Far Cry 3
Though the Titan offers lower FPS than the GTX 690, it offers much lower FTL. The lower the FTL, the lesser the spikes and thus a more better and smoother gameplay. Well now we can really see how the GTX Titan smashes the competition. The GTX Titan is the only GPU till date with such performance numbers.
Can’t wait for the AMD R9 290X… hope you guys review it.
yeah. Looks like AMD is set to take the single GPU performance crown again. Beating a GTX Titan is a worthy spectacle.
