Value and Conclusion
So now that we have done all the tests on our Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660Ti OC, we have seen how the card performs all round, in comparison to other GTX 660 Ti variants as well as the GTX 670 and the Radeon 7950.
Whats iLL
- Out-of-the-box overclocked
- Good cooling system, low temperatures
- Quiet when on idle, negligible noise on load
- Performs better than its more expensive competitors
- Low power consumption
Whats Not
- No memory overclock
- nVidia’s offer for free packaged games not valid in India
Running at approx Rs. 20,000, the Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Ti OC is good deal. The Zotac card might be available for about Rs. 500 cheaper, but then you’ll have to deal with more noise and power consumption. Performance wise, the Gigabyte GTX 660 Ti leaps ahead of almost all its competitors, except the EVGA GTA 660 Ti, but only in some cases. Also, the EVGA card is about Rs. 3000 more expensive than Gigabyte.
Compared to other chipsets, we would recommend the GTX 660 Ti ahead of the Radeon HD 7950. Not only is it cheaper, it performs way better in most cases, leaving out a few exceptions. You could go for the GTX 670, but that is only if you’re gaming at resolutions like 2560 x 1600, since you’ll need the extra bandwidth it offers. At 1920×1080 resolution, the GTX 660 Ti is a no-brainer; we recommend it hands down!
