MadSkin Studios (A Game Development and Mobile Apps company from Romania) have announced the release of the beta 1.4 version of their Glue Engine. Glue Engine is a game development engine that helps you to create games quickly without the use of programming language.

The aim of Glue Engine is to cater to both professional and casual developers. Allowing users, that never created a game before to be able to use it. The developers have released the version for the public to test and provide feedback with a few of the options disabled in the beta. A short documented guide is also avaliable on their website to walk you through the basics. If you are more of a video person, they also have dedicated videos on YouTube.

The engine presents itself as an easy to use option with people without much development knowledge as it automates most of the jobs. From Automatic Lights and Shadows Calculations to the use of GLScript that aims at simplifying programming, as the codes displayed on Documentation will tell you which command makes what. If you choose a line of code, you just have to paste that line in the editor and engine does the rest for you. No lightmapping calculations the graphics are rendered instantly just one click and the executable will be created with all the levels and elements necessary for the game.

The main buttons that lets you create the game are in front of the layout and the rest in Tools Section! Glue Engine marks the beginning of a new era where gamers across the world can expect the best from us.Glue Engine will reinvent the Game Development Industry.” The team at MadSkin has been updating the engine ever since the release on Steam Greenlight on 30th of March 2015. With the major patches aimed at fixing bugs and updating features based on user feedback.

About me: A collector, I hunt for stuff that was missed. I’m the guy who goes into a music store and asks the staff if they have some secret music cd in the backroom storage closet. My life ticks away while I watch anime, reading fictional novels or stalk Wikipedia for information completely useless to me.
