The World of Warcraft movie is in works and planning mode since 2006, but nothing concrete had materialised till date. All that might change with the filming of the movie now slated to start in early 2014, which puts the movie in a 2015 release slot.
Legendary Pictures announced Duncan Jones, director of Moon and Source Code, will direct the film. In the meantime the game is on a losing spree in terms of subscribers. Will the movie reignite the lost interest or will it be too late, ie if it releases as decided. We will watch it for sure, even if it releases in 2025.
