Razer Blade

Razer recently unveiled its new 14-inch laptop, also touting it as the world’s thinnest gaming notebook. It is the perfect mix of beauty, elegance, power and brilliance; one machine to define all. The all new Razer Blade is equipped with the latest Intel Haswell chips and an AMD GTX 765M graphic card, promising insane levels of performance for a laptop.

The Razer Blade comes in a very thin form factor of just 0.66″ thickness and a manageable weight of 4.1 lbs (Razer says that it got rid of many extra  non-useful components to reach this weight). What is even more striking is the power it is packing in such a compact design. The processor  is Intel Core i7-4702 HQ Quad core at 2.2 GHz, the latest Haswell Chip, accompanied by NVIDIA’s powerful GeForce GTX 765M, 2GB GDDR5 VRAM (One of the most powerful GPU in the Notebook sector). Razer Blade has been specifically optimized to play most of the high end games requiring a lot of juice, without much fuss.

The other hardware specs are common with the rest of the world, packing 8 GB RAM, HD-webcam, Intel HD 4600 shared GPU, full HD 14″ 1600X900 LED backlit display, multiple SSD options, Killer wireless and 70Wh Li-ion Po battery promising upto 6 hrs of on the go gaming experience. The keyboard and touchpad have also been optimized for gaming with a backlit keyboard coming in with anti-ghosting feature and self programmable keys. The premium built full aluminium chassis is quite different from our conventional notebooks, having dual fans and a different air cooling mechanism from front and bottom. Razer Blade also comes with Synapse 2.0, Razer’s cloud based multiple profile, configuration and theme saving platform.  A very pro laptop for hardcore gamers.

This ultra-machine is the best that is available in the market as of now in terms of specifications. But best things come in expensive packages and this beauty will set one back 1799$, plus availability and maintenance in countries outside of USA is currently unknown.
