Ansh Patel says:
It had all the incredible complexity and depth the grand strategy genre is traditionally known for, but what made it so special was that it went places games rarely ever think of venturing. Instead of putting you as a faceless faction, it put you in the shoes of a mortal character, with their own ambitions and traits. It treated death in the manner no game ever has: sudden, shocking, and absolutely random, which instead of resulting in a “Game Over” had you continue as your heir. Backstabbing politics, paranoid scheming, and one of the best examples of emergent narrative summed up an incredibly deep and engaging game.
