World Cricket Championship 3 (WCC3), currently in Beta is the follow up cricket simulator game to Editor’s Choice Award winning WCC2. On the Play Store, WCC2 has a 4.5 star rating from almost 28 lakh votes. It is also the top ranking cricket game on the Google Play Store.

Developer Nextwave Multimedia, a subsidiary of Nazara Technologies has announced a bunch of additions to its upcoming World Cricket Championship 3, which is available on Early Access on the Google Play Store. You can download the game by following the link.

An official release date for WCC3 has not been disclosed by Nextwave yet.

Matthew Hayden as English Commentator

Nextwave just recently announced that they have roped in Matthew Hayden to provide English commentary in WCC3. Matthew Hayden is known for his fun banter, bringing life to a game through his commentary.

“Very excited to be a part of cricket as a digital commentator. The game gave me complete space to bring my own spin on the script creatively. I used variations and patterns in my voice to generate energy and bring the excitement of a live game to the audience, something that is only possible in this lockdown with a game like WCC3.”

WCC3 will also feature Aakash Chopra as the Hindi commentator.

New Features in World Cricket Championship 3

The game will include a bunch of enhancements from its predecessor. Weather conditions and the state of the pitch will play a major role in the game. This will bring WCC3 close to providing an actual cricket simulation on your phone.

WCC3 will also feature competitive multiplayer simulation of actual cricket, brand new controls, animations, real-time motions and advanced artificial intelligence. Players have the option of spectating other player’s games too.

Ever increasing player pool

The World Cricket Championship series has been played by a cumulative 110 million players. Currently, WCC3 is experiencing 2.5 million daily players from all over the world.

Since the lockdown, the WCC franchise has witnessed a 20% surge in sessions and revenue, 25% increase in new users and daily active users, and over a 100% spike in in-app purchases in the game.
