With the introduction of its series of Ryzen 7000 desktop processors, AMD has created quite a buzz in the community of gamers and content creators.
It is powered by the Zen 4 architecture with up to 16 cores and 32 threads and is built on an optimized, high-performance, TSMC 5nm process node. In comparison to its predecessors, the AMD Ryzen 7950X offers:

- Better computing for up to 45% for content creators in POV Ray
- Better performance for up to 15% in gaming for select titles
- Better performance-per-watt for up to 27%
Performance improvements in Ryzen 7000 series
With the new Socket AM5 platform, the processor aims to achieve longevity. The Zen architecture in Ryzen 7000 series offers a double-digit IPC upgrade from its previous generations that facilitates better tasks execution and delivery. AMD claims that the top model of the series called as the 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 7950X processor enables the content creators to produce 57% better content in V-Ray Render. In addition, there is relatively 5% faster gaming performance with the 6-core AMD Ryzen 5 7600X processor.
Energy efficiency in Ryzen 7000 series
As compared to its competitors, AMD claims that Ryzen 7950X processor is up to 47% more energy efficient. In addition to the core innovations, the processors are equipped with 6nm I/O die that channelises hardware-accelerated video encode/decode, mild graphic work and support for multi display. It promises better performance with AMD’s mobile processors.
Release date and prices of AMD Ryzen 7000 series
The processors will be available across the globe from the beginning of 27th September 2022 by the leading retailers and online stores starting from approx. ₹24,000.

Being compatible with the Ryzen 7000 series desktop processors, it optimizes gaming performance for the users with advanced profile settings for DDR5 memory overclocking. It is expected to increase the gaming performance by 11%. It will be available in the market simultaneously with Ryzen 7000 series processors from Kingston, Corsair, GeiL and G.SkILL.
