Sony yesterday officially launched the sequel to its popular Street Cricket game, Move Street Cricket 2 in India.
This is yet another release of a PlayStation 3 game that has been completely developed in India. In this case, the developer is Trine, an Indian development studio with its headquarters in Mumbai. This release comes almost exactly one year after the release of Move Street Cricket 1, which was launched last summer.
The standalone game is priced very reasonably compared to usual pricing of PS3 games, at Rs. 1499. The cheap price is partially owed to local development and manufacturing of the game. If you don’t own a Move device yet, you can get the Move Street Cricket 2 Move Starter Pack at Rs. 3650.
MSC2 features a revamped AI and better synergy with the PS Move controller. The game’s pace is much faster than MSC1, to keep the tension alive. Mini-games have also been revamped to provide a better experience.
MSC2 will feature 8 unique playing fields, some of them being ‘A school ground’, ‘The chawl’ and also ‘A society roof top’. Another new addition is that you can play from a choice of eight international teams.
Atindriya Bose, Country Manager, Sony PlayStation India speaks about the launch, “After the tremendous success from Move Street Cricket, we are confident consumers are going to enjoy the sequel of Move Street Cricket II. This is another one in the series of successful local development with Trine. In this version, the gameplay has been hugely improved for both the bowling and batting levels through motion sensitivity.”
