Countless Mac and Linux users having been trolling around many Dota forums asking about the release for their own operating systems. Valve said nothing. There was no news. Come today, and we get the news about Dota 2’s launch on the Mac and Linux. This comes just a week after Dota 2’s official launch on Windows, having been in Beta for months. Below are the minimum required specifications to run Dota 2 on Mac and Linux.
Dota 2 Mac OS X Minimum System Requirements:

- 8GB Hard drive space

Dota 2 Linux Minimum System Requirements:
