Codemasters’ follow up to its successful racing simulation game, Grid, called Grid 2, launches today for the PC, Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. If you thought buying ‘Collectors Edition’ of games was burning a hole in your wallet, then check this. Grid 2: Mono Edition costs $188,700, that’s roughly equal to INR 1.05 crore. The Mono Edition is only available for the PS3.
Guinness World Records group has dubbed Grid 2: Mono Edition the “Most Expensive Video Game Commercially Available — Special Edition.”
So whats the big deal with this ‘Mono Edition’ you might ask? A DLC? An in-game car? A new map? Well yes, you do get all this, but what you also get is an actual real-life race car. Talk about Special Editions!
Each copy of Grid 2: Mono Edition includes:
- Grid 2 for PS3
- A BAC Mono supercar for use in-game
- A Grid 2: Mono edition race helmet
