Intex today announced two new smartphones from its Aqua range, the Aqua HD and Aqua i4. Both the smartphones are targeted for the mid-budget segment, costing Rs. 15,900 and Rs. 9,490 respectively.
Specifications for both the phones have also been announced.
The Aqua HD features a 4.7 inch IPS display with a 1280×720 pixel resolution, 1.2Ghz quad-core processor and 1 GB of RAM. Internal memory on the Aqua HD is 4 GB, and is expandable upto 32 GB.
The smartphones features a 13 megapixel auto-focus rear camera and a front facing 5 megapixel camera. The OS featured in the Aqua HD is Android 4.2 (Jelly Bean), which can be upgraded. The smartphone supports dual-SIM configuration.
The Aqua HD comes in 7.9mm thick body with scratch resistant ‘IML Finish.’ While majorly plastic, the Aqua HD has a metal frame and aluminum alloy keys.
Other standard features in the Aqua HD are its proximity sensor, gravity sensor, light sensor and Bluetooh 4.0. The phone comes included with a 1800 mAh battery, with a rated talk time of 6 hours.
Customers purchasing the Aqua HD get a flip cover, screen guard, 5 GB space on Intex Cloud, limited edition pen and key chain singed by Farhan Akhtar, included in the package as a bonus.
The other smartphone announced by Intex, the Aqua i4, features a 5-inch capacitive touch screen and sports a 1.2Ghz dual core processor. The smartphone comes preloaded with Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean. It carries an 8 megapixel rear camera and a 1.3 MP front facing camera.Other features are more generic in nature i.e. 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 4.0. Battery on the Aqua i4 is 2000 mAH respectively, with a rated talk time of 6 hours.
Intex Technologies, already a household name in consumer IT accessories, is keen on making a mark in the mobile phone segment, and plan to move 3 lakh (300,000) mobile phone units in the month of October.
