The last Mortal Kombat to hit the PC was the classic Mortal Kombat 4, which was released in 1997. That’s a good solid 16 years behind. Ever since, Mortal Kombat has overlooked the PC in favour of the consoles. But PC gaming has redeemed itself in the past 2 years, and the franchise just can’t ignore the good old platform.

Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment announced in its press release that it will launch Mortal Kombat Komplete Edition for PC on July 3. This was a digital launch. The retail package will be launched on August 6th. The Komplete Edition will include the enjoyable 2011 reboot, plus all of its DLC.

NetherRealm Studios handed off development on the PC version to High Voltage Software, the independent studio behind The Conduit, Kinect Star Wars, and various licensed games.
