In an exciting showdown at the Koramangala Indoor Stadium, Bangalore, the Skyesports Championship 5.0 BGMI tournament reached its peak. Blind Esports clinched the top spot after battling it out with some of the best BGMI squads in India for a hefty prize pool of INR 1.25 crore.

Powered By AMD and with Zebronics as the Gaming Partner, the event, held from November 3 to 5, attracted over 12,000 spectators. Loco, the gaming and Esports streaming platform, broadcasted the final in English, Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, and Malayalam. Tecno POVA 5 Series played its part as the smartphone partner.

Blind Esports sealed the deal with four Winner-Winner Chicken Dinners (WWCD) and a total of 170 points. Revenant Esports secured the second spot with 160 points, while OR Esports bagged the third position with 150 points.

Rudra “Spower” Banswani, a 16-year-old player from Blind Esports, shared his excitement, saying, “We knew we had what it took to win it all despite the tough competition in Skyesports Championship 5.0. It’s awesome to see our hard work pay off.” He dedicated the trophy to the team’s fans, emphasizing their constant support.

Team Soul landed in fourth place with 137 points, and Gods Reign claimed the fifth position with 133 points. Ritesh “Fierce” Nawandar received the Most Valuable Player (MVP) trophy for his standout performance throughout the three-day finals.

The event not only drew gaming enthusiasts but also caught the eye of N. A. Haris, Honorable Member of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, who expressed support for the growth of Indian Esports. “Seeing so much crowd is impressive. Bangalore should have better infrastructure for Esports. This is a step ahead, and as the representative of people, I am with you.

As India’s longest-running homegrown Esports IP, the Skyesports Championship celebrated its fifth year with a whopping total prize pool of INR 2,12,00,000 across three Esports titles, including BGMI.
