The classic Microsoft Flight Simulator, that has been around since way back in 1982, before most of us were born, is coming finally coming out with a much awaited and anticipated 2020 edition. The last update, Microsoft Flight Simulator X was released in 2014. Many flying enthusiasts swear by the franchise, which is known for offering lifelike simulation of flying a plane.

Xbox via Xbox Wire shared that Microsoft Flight Simulator will on launch on Windows 10 and Xbox Game Pass for PC on Tuesday, 18 August. The game is also available now for pre-order and pre-install in the Xbox Store page.

The new edition will feature tons of updates to make it more relevant for new generation hardware. The game will feature a whopping 37 thousand airports, 1.5 billion buildings, 2 trillion trees, mountains, roads, rivers and more. Earth is vibrant and ever-changing, and will include live traffic, real-time weather true to its geography, and animal. As per Microsoft, players will get to experience realistic weather including accurate wind speed and direction, temperature, humidity and rain.

The game will feature a plethora of commercial jets and light planes with comprehensive flight models, accurate cockpits and realistic instrumentation.

Three Editions of Microsoft Flight Simulator

The Microsoft Flight Simulator Standard Edition ($59.99 USD) will include 20 planes and 30 hand-crafter airports. The Standard Edition will be available on day one with the Xbox Game Pass for PC. The Deluxe Edition ($89.99 USD) includes five additional planes and five additional international airport. The Premium Deluxe Edition ($119.99) includes everything from the Deluxe Edition and additional 10 planes and further 10 more international airports.
