Microsoft and KLab, a Japanese company have announced Age of Empires: World Domination for iOS (iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini), Android and Windows Phone devices. Age of Empires is an immensely popular PC strategy franchise, and one of the pinnacles of the genre itself. AoE: World Domination will feature a revamped real-time battle system optimised for mobile devices. Players can choose between the Celts, Vikings, Franks or Huns, build an army and take it up in a online battle. Here is the announcement trailer.

Microsoft and KLab have been working for the past year to bring Microsoft’s PC and Xbox titles to iOS devices, and World Domination is the first product of this collaborative effort. Having said that, other titles are also in the works for being ported to iOS.
Age of Empires: World Domination will launch on iOS, Android and Windows Phone this summer, interested users can pre-register on the game’s official website for exclusive access and more information.
