Historically inspired turn-based tactical battle title Panzer General Online, a free-to-play browser based game developed by Blue Byte and published by Ubisoft is now out of its Closed Beta phase. Ubisoft is inviting gamers to try out the game today onwards, as Panzer General Online has entered its Open Beta phase.

During Closed Beta, the development team at Blue Byte worked with the community to gather feedback and implement improvements. Booster pack mechanics have been optimised, balancing issues in both single player and multiplayer battles have been sorted out.

A new “Skirmish 2.0” multiplayer mode, which allows PvP battles with pre-constructed decks has been introduced. This mode allows new and advanced players to compete against each other on equal footing.

Blue Byte, the developer behind Panzer General Online has developed The Settlers in the past. Acquired by Ubisoft in 2001, the studio has since shifted its base to Dusseldorf, Germany. Ever since, Blue Byte has also developed the ANNO series.
