It is that time of the year. Big Ant Studios, the Australian based Game Studio released their latest Cricket 24 today, the 5th of October 2023. The timing of the release is pretty apt considering the Cricket World Cup being held in India also commences on the same day.

Cricket 24 Features

Updated Mechanics

The game will feature revised gameplay mechanics, including a completely overhauled fielding system. The gameplay this year is more realistic and responsive as per Big Ant Studios. Graphics have been upgraded and will support advanced lighting, bigger asset textures and higher player detail.

The pitch conditions will be dependent on factors such as temperature, wind speed and humidity. Ball wear and tear will also factor in the gameplay.

Cross Platform Play

Cricket 24, for the first time will support cross platform play between PC, Xbox and PlayStation consoles. That means that even if players are on different platforms, say one person has a PC and his friend has a PlayStation 5, they can still play against each other.

Players can also create custom content like stadiums, players, teams and more and can share their creations with other players. This opens tons of possibilities for a thriving customisation community in Cricket 24.

Official Licenses in Cricket 24

Cricket 24 officially supports over 300 players with full photogrammetry. Official team licences of Australia, England, West Indies, New Zealand and Ireland are present in the game. Sadly, India is left out of the simulation yet again. You still get the Indian team and its players, just with slight adjustments to their names.

Official league licenses include that of KFC Big Bash, The Ashes, Weber Women’s Big Bash League, The Hundred, Caribbean Premier League and a number of India T20 teams. Cricket 24 will also include over 50 detailed official stadiums.
