Top G All Femal CS GO Team Become Champions

Top-G, an all-female Counter Strike: GO team created history by emerging as champions at the National Esports Championships (NESC) 2023 organized by the Esports Federation of India (ESFI). Top-G has now scripted their name in the history books as India’s first all-female CS:GO team to qualify for the global finals of the upcoming World Esports Championships (WEC).

The team consists of Swayambika Sachar (Sway), Shagufta Iqbal (xyaa), Nidhi Salekar (Stormyyy), Dilraj Kaur Matharu (COCO), Aastha Nangia (CrackShot) and Priyanka Choudhary (ALEXAA). Top-G defeated team Purr-ple in a grueling final round.

Winning the finals was an unreal feeling for all of us. We felt so many emotions before, after, and most importantly during the match and the adrenaline rush was on another level. Triumphing in this tournament and representing India on an international stage is a dream come true for all of us and we aim to prove on the world stage why we deserve this spot. We are grateful to ESFI for providing us with such an amazing opportunity and we truly appreciate the efforts put in by them to uplift women in Esports.

Top-g Team Captain Swayambika Sachar (Sway)

Top-G will now head to the World Esports Championships tournament to be held between August 24 to September 4, 2023, in Iasi, Romania. ESFI will be organizing friendly games against top CS: GO Indian teams to ensure that Top-G is well prepared for the global stage.

About World Esports Championships 2023

WEC 2023 will be held in Romania between August 24 to September 4. The tournament will feature gamers from 130 countries, who will battle it out against each other for a slice of the $500,000 prize pool. This will be the 15th edition of this tournament. The tournament will feature CS:GO, Dota 2, Tekken 7 and eFootball 2023.
