Esports is now officially a thing in India. The year 2022 is seeing a sleuth of tournaments one after another. A few days back we spoke about the Commonwealth Esports Championship in which India is taking part. Another international tournament, the Acer Predator Gaming League 2022 has been announced.

Asia Pacific Acer Predator League 2022

The Acer Predator League is an annual gaming league held by Acer. Initially held in 2018, the tournament now has 15 countries participating in it in the 2022 edition. This year, the league will kick off on the 12th of August in Bengaluru. The Indian finals will take places on the 4th of September. The league will feature two games, PUBG PC and Dota 2.

Registrations for the tournament will be open from 3rd – 11th August, 2022. The qualifiers will take place between 12th – 18th August, followed by the Online Playoffs. The Indian edition of the tournament will culminate on the 4th of September, the day on which the Indian LAN finals will take place. First in place will receive a cash prize of ₹2,00,000, second in place will get ₹1,00,000, followed by ₹40,000 each for third and fourth place. The Most Valuable Player will receive a bash bonus of ₹20,000.

The winners of the Indian finals will travel to Japan in November to compete for the $400,000 (₹2,80,000 approx) prize pool in the Grand Finale.
